🦋  The price includes a bowl of strawberry jam and a bowl of whipping cream.

Dry Ingredients: 

2 3/4 Cups All Purpose Flour 

2 Tsp Ground Ginger 

1 Tsp Cinnamon 

1/4 Tsp Ground Cloves 

1/4 Tsp Nutmeg 

1/2 Tsp Salt

2 Tsp Baking Powder or one sealed Sachet 

Soft Ingredients: 

1 Cup Sugar (or Brown Sugar,) Or1 Cup Pure Natural Honey 

1 Cup Butter, Softened at Room Temperature 

4 Large Eggs at Room Temperature 

1 Tsp Vanilla 

1 1/4 Cups Milk at Room Temperature 

Method :

Preheat the oven to 180 

Set the oven rack in the middle shelf 

In a clean dry bowl, sift the al  the dry Ingredients and set aside. 

Using a stand mixer or a hand mixer with a Large bowl, adjust the egg beater attachment and combine the butter and sugar and beat first on medium speed tt combine, then higher the speed until the mixture is light and fluffy and the colour has turned brighter.

Reduce the speed to low and add the eggs one at a time making sure to beat well after each addition and blend in the vanilla.

On low speed, add a Tbsp of Flour alternatively with the milk. Scrap the bowl to make sure no flour is left on the bottom of the bowl or on the sides.

Spoon the batter in a 9 cup oven pan after it has been well greased. Place the pan on a baking tray, and bake for 50 - 60 minutes until the knife comes out clean.

Let aside to completely cool before flipping up the cake.

Serve ii with strawberry jam and whipping cream,

and enjoy it besides your favourite cup of tea.
