Popular just like Molokhia, Meat Okra is in every Egyptian house. So let's do it. 

Ingredients: 

750g Kilo Okra - 4 Tbps Ghee - 1 Tsp Cumin seeds - 1 Cinnamon stick  - Bay leave - 2 Dried lemons - 1 Kilo Meat shunks - 1 Tsp Minced Ginger - 1/4 Tsp Nutmeg  - 1 Tsp 7 Syrian spices - 1 Tsp Salt - 1/2 Tsp Pepper - Boiling Water or Broth - 1 Jalapeño (optional) - 1 Tbsp Tomato Salsa - 1 Litre Tomato sauce  - 1 Tbsp Red or white vinegar  - Juice of 2 Lemons 

Taqulia :

1 Tbsp Ground coriander - 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic - 1 Tbsp Fresh Coriander, finely diced  - 1 Jalapeño (optional)

Method :

In a medium pan over medium heat, put the flavourings, cinnamon, bay, lemon, and cumin with the ghee, and add in the meat. flavour the meat with rosemary stick, ginger, and nutmeg and spices. Add the onions with water or broth until it covers the meat and cover to simmer over low heat for 30 minutes, or until the meat is tender. Add the Jalapeño followed by the Tomato salsa and the Okra. Pour in the Tomato Sauce and stir to combine. Season and add the vinegar and simmer over low heat. 

When the Okra has softened, prepare the Taqulia.

In a pan over small heat, lightly fry the Jalapeño, coriander, and fresh coriander in the ghee, then add the garlic and stir until light golden, and pour over the Okra. Finally put the lemon juice.

Serve hot besides white rice or baladi bread.
