"Petit Four" the name is French meaning the small oven, referring to the small ovens that pastries were baked. Served after a meal, the Petit Four are the kinds of small bite-sized pastries and confections served as a dessert.

Ingredients: 

125 g Soft butter - 1 Egg yolk - 2 Tbsp Plain cocoa - 1 sachet vanilla, or 1/2 Tsp Vanilla liquid  - 1/2 Tsp baking powder - 1/4 Cup Sugar or natural honey  - 1 1/2 Cup All purpose flour 

For the edges :

1 Egg whites  - Crushed Hazelnuts 

For Garnish: 

Pistachios syrup  - Ground Soft hazelnuts  - Ground soft Pistachios 

Method :

Preheat the oven to 180*c 

In a bowl, add all the Ingredients, and mix with your hands to combine. On a baking tray lined with parchment paper form balls the size of a small lemon and place them on the tray. Make shapes on the top of the petit four, and glaze the edges with the egg whites, then roll it in the crushed hazelnuts. 

Insert the tray into the oven and bake for 15 minutes.

Let cool, them place the Petit Four on a serving dish, and serve with your desired tea to enjoy with your family and friends.
